End of Life &
Funeral Services
I am a fully trained and experienced funeral celebrant. As an independent funeral celebrant I work with all funeral directors and with families who decide to arrange a funeral themselves.
I write and deliver religious, semi-religious and humanist-style funeral services, whatever style of service the family request.
I am a relationship based social worker, who has supported many families through loss and bereavement, and I am here to walk alongside you as you take these steps through a difficult journey, to say goodbye to a loved one.
For me, listening to life stories, capturing the essence of a person and their relationships is a privilege. Learning about lives lived, challenges faced, reflecting on life achievements and marking a persons significance is truly an honour.
I have experience in supporting people at end of life, and capturing their own life stories, messages for loved ones and choices around their own ceremony when the time comes. This can offer peace of mind and reassurance for the client, along with their loved ones.
If you are arranging a ceremony for a loved one, I am here to understand the life you are celebrating and to help hold some of the responsibility. Together we will respectfully mark the passing of a person and collaborate to create a memorable ceremony.
Children may have particular wishes and needs at a funeral, and may need support to express or capture these. As a social and family support worker I have a deep experience of supporting children in emotional circumstances. If requested by parents, I can involve children and grandchildren in creating a ceremony which will support them in their grieving process.
When you contact me I will give you time to talk, reflect, feel how you feel, in a safe and supported space. I can liaise with family or friends to contribute to the memorial and support the writing of tributes.

What to expect from my service
Once contacted either directly by you, or through the Funeral Director you have appointed, I will meet with you (virtually or face-to-face as you choose) to understand any funeral wishes of the person who has died, as well as your own.
If you are using a funeral director, I will work with them and keep them informed of your funeral service choices as you may have decided to use them to print an order of service.
I will work with any family members or friends to create a ceremony which feels uniquely personal and
which captures the essence of the loved one who has passed away.
I will listen to your memories and stories, and work with you to create a unique celebration of a life.
I am not allied to any religion, but will create and deliver a religious, non-religious, humanist or creatively tailored ceremony. I write and deliver funeral services for cremations and burials (including woodland burials).
I will work alongside you to select any music, poems or readings for the service.
I will write a ceremony and eulogy/tribute which feels uniquely personal and fitting for the values, beliefs and personality of the person who has died.
I will check in with you the day before the funeral or memorial service.
I will lead the funeral service to meet your wishes.
I will present you with a commemorative copy of the readings, eulogy and blessings after the funeral service.
Please contact me for a consultation to take the next step and feel supported.
I am fully trained by the Celebrant Training School, and have committed to continuous professional development.
I have also adopted the Funeral Celebrancy Council’s Celebrant Accord.

Testimonials
I had felt alone in this situation, but Becky helped me create a lovely ceremony for my Mum. It was everything we hoped it would be. She would have loved it.
Becky listened to my Mum's story and captured her character perfectly.
