Morning Mist Over Trees

Next Steps To Your Perfect Day!

Once you have contacted me, we will have an initial consultation, and reserve your day.

We will meet several times either in person or online if more convenient for you. We will get to know each other and you can tell me exactly how you imagine your day and your ceremony. How do you want this ceremony to represent your relationship? Do you want other friends and family involved in creating your day?

I can share ideas on how we can achieve your perfect celebration. The sky is the limit. I love being creative with ceremonies, but if classic and heartfelt is what feels right, I am there.

If you are unsure of how you want to convey your vows, any readings, poetry or music, I can help give inspiration. This is your day and anything goes.

As well as being alongside you to create your ceremony, I am there to help settle nerves, guide you and bring some fun.

But most importantly I will help you to re-focus on you as a couple, what is important to you, in your relationship, why you are here, choosing to get married, and put that centre stage in your day.

Together we will write and refine a script for the ceremony which feels unique to you. We can practice this together, or 1-1 with each of you separately, to keep that element of mystery for the big day.

On the day I will be there to welcome and settle your guests, to create a warm atmosphere of excitement and anticipation for the amazing day to come.

My role as your celebrant, is to ensure that your day goes smoothly and to focus on you. To be there to guide and support throughout the pre-ceremony moments,  until you glide down the aisle as a married couple, presented to your family and friends with cheers and applause.

However many and whoever attends, whether it is a grand affair or a simple small gathering, it should feel full of love and celebration, and a day you and your guests will remember forever.

Additional Services and Mini Ceremonies

Hand Fasting

Handfasting, originates in Celtic culture and symbolises two people being bonded together for eternity or "Tying the Knot".

A couples vows can be said during the handfasting or instead of a ring exchange.  The cord that is used can be made from colours or materials that are significant to the couple, and if the knot is tied correctly, it will remain tied even when the couples hands are removed.

This creates another momento of the day, which can be framed and displayed.

It is a symbolic and romantic ritual that goes hand in hand with modern weddings.

Ring On Rose Petals

Ring Warming & Blessing

A beautiful way to involve your guests, and to create an atmosphere of love and support from family friends.

The wedding bands are often tied to a ribbon, placed in a small decorative box and passed along a designated chain of guests.

As the rings make their way through the rows of loved ones, each guest takes a few seconds to hold the rings, mentally infuse them with positive intentions or prayers  and pass them to the next person.

The couples future is truly blessed.

Sand Ceremony

A sand ceremony is a beautiful, symbolic unity ritual, where a couple pour distinct, coloured sands from individual vessels into a single, shared container.

This is a beautiful way to involve children and blended families. The blended grains represent two lives and families intertwining, creating a permanent, inseparable keepsake to display in your home.

Jumping The Broom

Jumping the broom is a symbolic wedding tradition where a couple leaps over a broomstick together. It represents sweeping away the past, marking a new beginning, and honouring ancestors. It is deeply rooted in African American, Celtic and Roma cultural heritage.

Shiny Trophy Cups

 Quaich or Loving Cup

A Quaich Ceremony is a popular ritual in modern Celtic or Scottish weddings to symbolise the blending of two lives and families. The newlyweds share the first drink together from the same two-handled cup (often called a "love cup"). It signifies trust, as both individuals must hold the handles to steady the cup, requiring them to work together.

Traditionally Whisky is sipped, but this can be substituted to any other beverage.

It is the cooperation and meaning of the act which are symbolic.

Garland Ceremony, Flower Lasso

Both the garland ceremony (Varmala) and the flower lasso (Lazo) are deeply symbolic wedding rituals used to unite couples. Although they originate from entirely different cultural backgrounds.

In the Varmala ceremony the bride and groom exchange large, fragrant and brightly coloured floral garlands.  Symbolising mutual respect, acceptance and the welcoming of each other into their respective families.

It represents their union as equal partners.

Lasso ritual is often compared to the Western exchange of rings.

While a lasso is often made of an oversized rosary or braided cord, a floral lasso uses a thick garland made of flowers and greenery. After vows are exchanged, the couple's godparents, parents or celebrant drape the lasso over the shoulders of the bride and groom.

The lasso is draped in the shape of a figure-eight or infinity symbol. It represents eternal unity, protection, and the shared responsibilities the couple will carry together throughout their marriage.

Children Holding Candles

Unity Candle

A unity candle ceremony is a popular symbolic ritual during weddings where a couple uses two individual flames to light a single, central "unity" candle. It visually represents the union of two people and the blending of their families, while also honouring their individual identities.

Rose/ Flower Petal Ceremony

A rose petal ceremony or scattering, within your ceremony is a lovely way to involve younger guests, and family members or friends.

Delicately scattered, in the aisle or dramatically caste, rose petals invoke romance, love, and joy.

Instead of lighting a candle or pouring sand, incorporate a Rose Ceremony. You and your partner can exchange single rose petals or roses as your very first gifts to one another as a married couple, symbolizing an "I love you"
